Really? You think that was the best use of resources? I think this could have been settled without the use of public money (especially since everywhere is very strapped).
I think it makes more sense to fire the kid, contest the unemployment based on theft and then take him to civil court to recover the damages. By having him arrested, you use up the police time, judge time and so on. So, it's about time what? That we encourage to utilize police resources when they are already strained? Interesting......
